I’ve been floating between jars, playlists, products, and little writing moments but this space? This is where I slow down a little. Where I get personal. Where it feels more like me.
Welcome behind Auralight.
Behind every blog post, every candle, every little project, there’s still real life happening. Messy desks, unfinished ideas, to-do lists I probably forgot about. Outside the product shots and the writing world, I’m just figuring things out one moment at a time.
Lately, I’ve been easing back into making candles. Some of you probably didn’t even know I made candles. I’ve never really shared them here before. It was one of those hobbies I picked up during the pandemic to calm my nerves and my depression. You know how it was back then. Most people either got a pet or started a random hobby. I ended up with both. Candle making and a guinea pig.
I stopped for a while but lately, I’ve been slowly getting back into it. My family’s been telling me they actually smell pretty good. But now, I want to see if anyone else would be interested in testing them out. No pressure, just seeing what happens.
I’m hoping to share a few free samples starting in August. You won’t have to pay for them. I’ll probably link them through my Etsy and GoImagine shops to keep it simple. If you use GoImagine, just a heads-up — 2% of their sales go to children in need, which I think is a nice bonus.
Right now, there’s only three scents I’ve been testing
🌿 Beneath the Leaves — for earthy, fall forest energy
🌸 Sandalwood & Vanilla — warm, creamy comfort
💜 Lavender — simple, soft, for winding down
This isn’t an official collection or anything. Just me getting back into making things, testing the waters, and seeing where it goes.
I might also set up a little Google form soon so you can sign up if you’re curious about trying a sample. Just keeping it easy.
The Soft Stir playlist is also brewing. It’s a mix of early 2000s coffee shop songs, indie music, and stuff that makes it feel like cozy season even though the calendar says otherwise.

That’s where I’m at right now. Figuring things out one little moment at a time.
